The battle of Tabo – Fushimi Boshin war. (Game level Inspiration)

Background of the battle of Toba:-

This war was started in the year January 1868 when Meiji the emperor would not accept the restoration plans from the high-level government officials’ asked for the restoration.

Location:- is the areas of Kyoto and Osaka (Japan)  Start date:- January 27, 1868, to January 31, 1868, Also the battle was between the forces of Tokugawa shogunate and the forces of Choshu, that Satsuma and tosa domains and it were near the Fushimi Kyoto this battle led to the end of and defeat of Tokugawa shogunate

The weapons used in the wars were

Maces

Sickle and chains

Game level inspiration

This battle has given me ideas  on the what kind of game level that I  want to make the skill’s  that I will gain will slowly put on this blog, with concepts and drawings of props in the area.Also, there will be 3D images in this battlefield and cannons in the level area this will be set in a small temple shrine area .In the level design I will try and make a weapon to fit in and the texture that will be placed in the area .

Deaths and injured

  • In the land of satsuma, there were 61 dead and 124 wounded.
  • In Bakufu there were 160 found dead and 400 wounded.
  • Choshu 35 dead and 106 wounded.
  • Aizu 100 dead and 150 wounded.

    Battle plans for the battle of Tabo

  • This image shows the battle plans for the war that happened in the information I have read they say that there was a total of 2,500 troops for the vice commander Okubo Takayuki .About 400 men of the men troops were armed with pikes and firearms .

Sasaki Tasasaburo was the leader of the other side fighting this war this war was the fall of the samurai.

Game level Idea

The concept I am going for is a open field area with two temples each side of the map where your team are placed your start with swap weapons but thought out the map you shall find stuff such as firearms and pikes also there are cannon’s in the middle for you to use to destroy the defences of the opposing team.There will be different ways to move around the battlefield as well to gain the upper ground from the other team. Such as this image a concept I have found online   that I am working off to help me gain ideas from .titsingh_chinese
